The MONOLITH smartCONTROL combines digital temperature monitoring and active temperature control in a compact, all-in-one system. The controller, fan, display, and battery are all integrated directly into a single unit. Once the desired cooking temperature is set, smartCONTROL continuously monitors it and automatically regulates the airflow—and thus the combustion—via the built-in fan. This ensures the desired temperature is maintained effortlessly, without the need for constant manual adjustments. Two wireless food probes are available for temperature monitoring. Each probe measures two temperatures simultaneously: The tip inserted into the food records the core temperature, while the sensor at the outer end measures the temperature inside the cooking chamber. For food items where the Wireless Food Probes cannot be inserted deeply enough—such as spare ribs—a wired grill temperature probe is also available. It attaches directly to the grill grate with a clamp and measures the cooking chamber temperature there within a range of 0 to 500 °C. The smartCONTROL connects to the ToGrill app via Wi-Fi and Bluetooth. Target temperatures can be set, and the cooking process and temperature trends can be tracked on a smartphone. The Wi-Fi connection also allows for monitoring and control while on the go. Alternatively, smartCONTROL can be controlled directly via the LCD display and the control knob on the device. The built-in 4,000-mAh battery allows for operation without a constant power connection and offers additional flexibility, especially during long “low-and-slow” sessions. When not in use, the wireless food probes can be stored directly on the smartCONTROL. SmartCONTROL is not designed exclusively for MONOLITH Kamados. Current MONOLITH models, with the exception of the ONE series, already feature the corresponding connection. For other MONOLITH models as well as Kamado grills from other brands, a universal adapter is included in the package.
